Vivo presented the V23 and V23 Pro on January 5th at CES 2022. The new mid-range smartphones are characterized above all by their changeable color and their dual selfie camera. NextPit introduces you to the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro in this article.
- The Vivo V23 and V23 Pro will be coming to Europe in the coming months
- The smartphones should appeal to influencers
Since Vivo is present in Europe, it has always attracted attention with innovative smartphones such as the X51 with its gimbal camera or most recently with the V21 5G , which has a remarkable selfie camera. Earlier in the year, the Chinese brand used CES to unveil the V23 and V23 Pro. The successors to the V20 and V21 come onto the market with two special features that affect the design and the selfie camera.
Vivo V23 and V23 Pro: smartphones that change color!
Vivo apparently took inspiration from Apple when designing the V23. At least the smartphone has flat edges like the iPhone 13 . The V23 Pro, on the other hand, relies on a rounded design.
However, the smartphones differ mainly in their color. Because in Sunshine Gold color, the V23 and V23 Pro can change color from gold to teal when exposed to the sun. This is possible thanks to a special coating called “Fluorite AG”, which allows the smartphones to change their hue after a certain period of time. The two cell phones are alternatively available in the color Stardust Black.
The Vivo V23 and the V23 Pro also have a conspicuous notch that houses two selfie cameras. Take a look at the pictures:
Vivo V23 and V23 Pro: The technical data at a glance
As mentioned, both the Vivo V23 and V23 Pro have a dual selfie camera. This consists of a 50 MP wide-angle sensor with dual autofocus and an 8 MP ultra wide-angle sensor with a field of view of 105 degrees. With the front cameras, you can record selfie videos in 4K at 30 or 60 fps and take selfies with a bokeh effect. The dual-tone flash is also available twice. The Vivo V23 and V23 Pro are once again clearly aimed at influencers.
The V23 has a 6.44-inch FullHD AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside is a MediaTek Dimensity 920. The SoC is supported by up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage space. The V23 also has a triple camera module on the rear, consisting of a 64 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide angle camera and a 2 MP macro lens.
The V23 Pro also has an AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and 90 Hertz refresh rate, but with a screen diagonal of 6.56 inches. With a MediaTek Dimensity 1200, it has a significantly more powerful SoC and the same camera, but with a 108 MP main sensor.
