The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are already set for this year. But there’s now a new report pointing to a mysterious Pixel device with the same display specs as the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro . This suggests that Google could have another Pixel smartphone up its sleeve.
- Another Pixel smartphone seems to be in the works
- The unknown device is codenamed G10
- It features the same display specs as the Pixel 7 Pro
The colleagues from 9to5Google were able to dissect the publicly visible code for the Android Open Source Project. They found five interesting code names of Pixel devices there. The list includes the C10, P10, Felix, Lynx and G10 models. Of the five devices, one product in particular stands out: the G10!

The C10 and P10 designations could be assigned to the Pixel 7 Pro and the Pixel 7. On the other hand, 9to5Google speculates that “Felix” refers to next year’s Pixel 7a, while Lynx means the first foldable Pixel smartphone . That leaves the G10 as an unidentified codename.
Interestingly, however, there is no probable candidate for this so far. While we’re still expecting a Pixel tablet, the G10’s display specs don’t match this device. Instead, the G10 seems to have a 6.71-inch panel with QHD+ resolution, just like the 6th and 7th generation Pixel Pro. In addition, Google’s Tensor chipset should be installed.
Is a more powerful Pixel 7 Ultra coming?
There are a few explanations for this mysterious device. It could be a higher-end Pixel 7 smartphone in the form of a “Plus” or “Ultra” model with additional camera features or additional hardware features like the stylus support expected for the Pixel tablet . However, the G10 could also end up as a test device that will never actually go on sale.
What do you think? Does Google have a more powerful model in the works beyond the Pixel 7 Pro, or do you have another idea what it could be? Tell us in the comments!
